Using encrypted disk images as targets

Hello,

Just wanted to know the right way to use encrypted disk images with SD.

I want to create an encrypted disk image (of suitable size) using disk utility on an external firewire 800 disk enclosure using a 500GB drive and then have SD use it as its target destination after I mount it using the correct password. My disk image will need to be at least 350GB and need to grow (using a sparse image) as my main disk size increases.

Has anyone had any problems with this kind of setup? Reason I am asking is because I want to use it as an off site backup (leaving it locked up at work) and want to be able to sleep at night knowing if someone somehow gets a hold of it, without the correct password to mount it, my data stays safe.

Thanks in advance.

Carlos.

No real issues - although I would put the password in the keychain so it'll automatically mount.
