Feature requests: error notification
 

A useful feature for me would be some kind of error notification system, so that if a scheduled back up fails, the user can learn about it without having to check the log. Perhaps something like the iCal alarms feature, which gives you multiple options for how you want to be notified.

(Also, since you asked, I'd like to see the scheduler revamped to allow you to edit all parameters of a backup, rather than simply the timing of it. As it is now, if you want to change scripts, or change ignored items, for example, you have to delete the scheduled backup and create a new one. This is a bit of a pain, but moreover it can lead to confusion as to exactly what will happen on the next backup.)

Thanks for the suggestions, AJ -- it's been in our plan for some time to give more options in the Scheduling window, but we didn't have sufficient time to complete it for v2.0.

Error handling is also something we're looking at, though it's more challenging in some ways, because a "Friendly" notification isn't always sufficiently detailed to allow a user to repair the problem... usually, the error is a problem with the source data, and fixing that can be challenging for the less technically inclined.
