SuperDuper! is well-named
My initial backup and secondary backups have gone well and I have been delighted at the speed and flexibility of SuperDuper! Carbon Copy Cloner was the first backup application I used with OS X and it is extremely simple but much slower.
I back my hard drive to an external Firewire drive. I check the condition of the bootable portion of the backup to ensure that recovery will work when it is needed. In doing this checking yesterday, I ran DiskWarrior on the new backup and each partition required rebuilding of the "root creation date". I checked and none of the partitions of my internal drive needed rebuilding after the backup. Could this be a problem created by SuperDuper? Thanks, eviloc |
It's not really a problem, eviloc. Basically, Disk Warrior is indicating that the drive was formatted at a different time than the filesystem was created. That's true because we copied the file system from another drive... the date mismatch is expected and harmless.
