Scared to run SuperDuper just yet

I'd like to test out SuperDuper but I need one question answered first.

I want to back up my user folder from Drive A to Drive B. Drive B has more than enough space for this, so much in fact that I also use Drive B for other things.

Q: Will running SuperDuper in this way overwrite or interfere with my other non-backup related data that is also on Drive B?

Q2: And when SuperDuper backs up a User folder from one drive to another, what folder on the second drive does it throw its backups into?

It definitely can, codeofficer. Take a look at the chapter of the SuperDuper! User's Guide entitled "Storing a backup alongside other folders on a destination drive" for details and solutions.

(As far as the User folder goes, SuperDuper! always stores files in the same location on the destination volume as they are on the source...)

Thanks Dave. Happy to hear. This software is pretty reasonably priced for what it does, I'll try it out and see how things go from there.
