Is a SD back-up of a time machine drive bootable ? if...
I use SD to clone it ??? Sorry if this has been covered before. I could not find the answer after searching for a few days. In other words. Can you go. Main HD to > Time Machine HD to > Super Duper bootable Clone??? Thanks |
You can't use SD! to copy a Time Machine backup to a bootable volume, no. It can copy it successfully, and can also store a bootable backup alongside it, but it won't 'restore' a bootable copy from Time Machine's already backed up data... if that's what you're asking.

Yeap. That's exactly what I was asking. Bummer - it would have reduce the number of back-up hard drives I have :-) Thanks Bachiano P.S. I Love Super Super Duper - Keep up the good work. It benefits the whole mac community in a big way. Many Thanks. |
