Logging what is backed up
Hi,
Is their a log file that shows each file that is backed up? I happened to notice that last nights back up, backed up 40gb on a full user backup. I haven't changed that many files. I would like to see what it backed up. Any help much appreciated. Best wishes Michael |
Sorry, Michael, no -- there are hundreds of thousands of files on a typical OSX system, and logging them would take huge amounts of space...

Hi Dave,
I understand that would be a problem, but would it be possible to have it as an option on the user backup section. I understand a clone would be way too much. Best wishes Michael |
Understood. Note that if you had a huge backup, it's likely you were downloading something (or something was active) during the backup. Did you get an error?

It was fine, no error.
I normally leave Superduper closed. It still seems to run, so I assume it wasn't data from a long time ago. I just can't see where that 40gb came from. Weird, but better more than less though :) Cheers Michael |
True enough! :)
