correct procedure for restoring an image file

Ok I know this is very basic - but I skimmed the entire help file and didn't find an answer.

When I'm restoring an image created with super duper, In the copy field I choose disk image and browse for the image file - the files I created are grayed out sparse images. Is this normal? For a work around I have to expand the image and then choose that mounted area to copy. This seems to be the only way I've gotten it to work. Shouldn't I be able to choose the image file itself before I expand it ?

Also If I have to mount an image file before a restore does this stop fast block copying?

thanks!

Bill

Even though the images are grey (a standard part of the "Save" panel), you can click on them. That'll move the name to the field, and you can then click "Save". Ignore the warning... we'll update, not overwrite, the image that's there...
