Cant boot from backup drive
After my initial backup I tested the boot from backup drive feature. No problem. Since then I have completed a smart backup and now cant boot from backup drive. I hold down the Option key at startup and click on the backup drive then hit GO and I get the grey screen with the Apple in the middle but no beach ball and it just hangs there.

Dunno! What options are you using when you back up?

Carried out Incremental Backup last night now when trying to boot from backup drive I only get the grey screen and NO Apple sign. Also G5 takes a long time to find the backup drive after holding down on the Option key.

I don't think your Smart Update could have caused that. Rather, I'd have to guess that you're having some hardware issues, especially given the long time it takes to find the drive.
Try powering everything, including the drive, fully off. Then, simplify your connections to just required devices and try again. |

SuperDuper is back in business. Like Tina Turner said, "Simply the best, better than all the rest" :) By the way, SuperDuper works just fine on my MB Pro with my new found Wiebetech Combo Drive. Thanks again for a great product at an unbelievable price. |
Glad to hear it, and thanks for the follow-up!
