Manually start a backup of 2 or more drives in one shot

I'm wondering if the following is possible:

I basically want to manually "kick off" backups for two or more drives. But I only want to have to start it once and have it back up each drive one after and another in sequence. I may also want to do a specific action once its done (sleep or unmount the external drive for example).

The backups running simultaneously would be ok, but I'd imagine that would be a problem if I want it to do some specific action once its done. I'd settle for that if that's all that's possible. My main concern is that I can have it do everything unattended once I start it.

The only way I can think of is to do something like was done for the Maxtor OneTouch backup (http://www.shirt-pocket.com/forums/showthread.php?t=993) and you have each subsequent backup calling the next one once done. But I'm not quite sure if that would even work.

You can do it like the one-touch backup FAQ, and just run the two little programs. They'll run one-after-the-other automatically.
