Cloning 2 TB's of Data

So I have a lovely little RAID unit sitting here with 2 TB's of data that I am going to be sending offsite via a different set of RAID disks that are swapped out weekly...

Everythings running well except for when I am backing up a Time Machine share point that 15 people backup to... The trouble is not that it doesnt work rather its how long its taking, 22 hours so far and its only copied ~400 GB of Data... with an effective copy speed of arond 4.6 mb per second...

I have the drives hooked up daisy chained with FW 800 I am wondering if anyone else has been having trouble with large backups taking a long time or if anyone has any ideas on a better way to duplicate the data... I like SuperDuper and I registered it so I would hope to be able to keep using it.

Thanks...

Setup.

Leopard Server
-> RAID5 1 TB (FW 800) File Server
-> Drobo 2 TB (USB 2) Time machine backup
---->> RAID0 4 TB(FW 800) offsite backup with 2 volumes for the above drives

Your Drobo is FW? Isn't it USB2?

I'd expect 4-6GB on a USB drive, actually, and about 8-12 overall on FireWire, with an Intel Mac... at least on a full copy.
