Can I work?

Can I keep on working within every kind of app while backing up?
I once read 'parallel desktop' needs to be closed. Any more?

In general, it's best to not work. If you must, don't run VMWare/Parallels/Virtual PC, Entourage, download big files, run EyeTV -- things like that.
