I wanted to back-up all volumes on this machine so I can repartition and do a clean install. I just installed SuperDuper and have not run it successfully on this machine yet.

Hi, virtudesign.

The problem here is a bug in Jaguar: when we ask an unnamed MS-DOS volume for its name, the system crashes the call.

Try detaching any MS-DOS formatted drives -- typically, it's a flash drive that's causing the problem -- and try running SuperDuper! again. I think you'll find that'll resolve the issue.

(Note that Apple fixed this problem in Panther.)

Hope that helps.

it worked after restarting. I initially thought this fixed it until I saw your post--I had a 128mb MSDOS usb drive mounted at the time when I installed SuperDuper!

Thanks.

No problem: glad that resolved your issue!
