Image creation error - ****FAILED****: result=34048 errno=22 (Unknown error: 0)

I tried to make a backup image of my OSX partition using super duper. I chose to write this image to an empty fat32 partition. I started OSX with the -x option and logged in as room. After completing the image I received an error. Here is an excerpt from my log

I have the compressed DMG file and it is able to be mounted. How can I be sure this image is usable considering the above error?

Given that the error indicates a bad install of OSX, and that it happened during the block scan of the image, I wouldn't trust it.

Also, FAT32 has a very low file size limit (4GB): it seems likely your image, before or after compression, was larger than this...
