Refreshing Disk Arbitration error message ?

First of all, congratulations on Version 2 and providing free updates.

Before I upgrade, I'd like to know more about

Enable Permissions
Refreshing Disk Arbitration

I found this error message in Super Duper 1.5.5 (74) on a Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.3

The computer had crashed and I needed to reboot. The drive I was copying to had to be taken offline and reset too. It was an external firewire drive.

This has happened twice now, while prior to this, SuperDuper had been doing scheduled nightly backups successfully for several months.

I'm running Softraid 3.3, and backing up that mirrored drive to an external firewire drive.

I'm not sure where the problem is. Hardware, SoftRaid, SuperDuper or something else.

Any insights into the error message above or other ideas are appreciated.

Thanks

mark

All we're doing there is "refreshing the drive list". This can be done easily with a simple command in Terminal:

disktool -r

It simply checks to ensure that all drives currently mounted are available and up to date.
