Failed to enable ownership on SuperDuper BackUp

I just tried to do an Erase "SuperDuper BackUp" (that's the name of my HD), then copy files from HD.
It failed due to unalbe to enable ownership on SuperDuper BackUp.
I have had problems with my back up drive. That's why I erased it and reinitialized it.
The Super Duper log showed this:

Any ideas of what might be going on?
Thanks,
Anne

This always means that you have a device attached that's not responding properly (giving errrors when the system reads it). Power everything off and back on, including your Mac and all peripherals, then try again.

Power cycling just the external drive

I've been using SuperDuper! since 2007 to perform a nightly clone of my boot drive. I encountered this "enable ownership" problem for the first time last night.

Since I have a lot going on my Mac, I tried quitting SuperDuper! unmounting and power cycling the external clone drive, relaunching SuperDuper!, and doing a Copy Now on the Scheduled Copy. It's running fine.

That can sometimes work - yes.
