I gather from some of Dave's posts that one of the holdups to releasing a Leopard-compatible version of SD is the (in)ability to smart-copy a Time Machine volume. Look, nobody cares. This is a minor feature. Dump it for now. Make it a feature request or shelve it. IT'S NOT ESSENTIAL. Smart backup is. Time Machine/Disk Util/CCC are not acceptable alternatives.

If this isn't the main holdup, then WTF is? C'mon, it's the middle of January already.

I've explained what's going on a number of times at the blog, "geenius", so take a look there. It's not just a matter of copying Time Machine volumes.

OK I just read the blog. color me chastened.

I'm really, really frustrated, probably not as much as you though!
