Creating a bootable backup on HD with other files?

Hi, I'm thinking of using my WD 1TB external HD to create a bootable backup (osx 10.5.7) with superduper. The external HD is already in use as backup for my pictures, but with 500GB free space.

Can I create a bootable backup on this drive without deleting the other files? If so how? :-)

Thanx
IAK

You'll want to partition the drive. iPartition, from Coriolis Systems, can do that while preserving the data on the drive.

Note that your WD drive will not work as a bootable backup if you're on a Power PC Mac, and on Intel, the partition scheme should be "GUID".
