installing .pkg doesn’t overwrite old version?
I have a script which updates SuperDuper, which involves downloading the .tar.gz and then unpacking it before installing the .pkg which is done like this
sudo /usr/sbin/installer -verbose -pkg...

Backup DVD and Partition to DMG?
Yesterday I bought Snow Leopard from Apple on DVD. It arrived today.

SD taking a lot longer all of a sudden
I've got SuperDuper running on a Mac Mini which is running 10.11.6.
It has, for a long time, run a nightly backup. It took about 30 minutes. Here's some excerpts from the logs:
