And the backup itself is UNencrypted ...
Backing up, with FV2 on, without first logging out of the admin account, appears to produce an unencrypted backup that can be booted on another computer and used without knowing the encryption...

Dave is probably right (he usually is!), but I'd give it a try anyway. I have a MacBook Pro, bought from Apple on Dec 1, 2011, that came with Lion pre-installed (I've since upgraded it to Mtn Lion)....

I've sometimes found I need to go back farther than just a day or two, so I have six backup sets: MWF, TTS, Sun odd, Sun even, beginning of odd-numbered month, and beginning of even-numbered month. ...
