You definitely don't want to create an ASR image as well as an image. So, open Options, switch to the Advanced tab, and uncheck the Image option. Once that's done, your backup should complete quickly (and normally).

Note that your sparse image, which you already created, should be fine, as it was finished in the previous "step".
