SD 2.5 hangs...

Hi,

SD 2.5 hangs when I try to backup. I am using a PowerBook G4 (2GB Ram, 1Ghz), which has a 55GB HD. My target is a 60 GB vollume, on a LaCie 200GB Firewire Drive, connected to the Mac with FW800.

I've used this volume in the past, with Tiger and the previous SD with no problems.

Since upgrading to SD 2.5 and Leopard 10.5.2, everything starts OK, but then it hangs.

I've erased the target volume, running with no other apps running, and started with the shift key held down to prevent any startup items from running.

By hang, I mean that the backup begins OK, but then it gets to a point where no more activity shows in the progress pane. The log sits at: "Attempting to copy file using copyfile()"

The longest this has held there was 22 hours... as it sat like that overnight a couple of times.

I don't know what else to do... Any ideas would be appreciated.

Rgds,
Floyd Christofferson
