extremely slow as well..
i just bought a Western Digital MyBook, plugged it into my 2GHz MacBook Pro with the handy Firewire cable and started the cloning process. I have no applications open (except Camino which I'm using to write this).
The maximum speed I'm seeing is 1.32MB/s. That doesn't sound at all like Firewire speeds.
Could this be because I'm not using the registered version or is this typical?
