Migration Assistant from SuperDuper! Bootable Backup Drive?

I may have to erase and reinstall macOS Monterey on my MacBook Pro (Apple silicon). The reason is that I cannot create a Time Machine backup (the system apparently "does not see" the drive I have attached to do Time Machine backups). I don't know what's wrong, but I'm afraid that when I get to Apple support they are eventually going to tell me to erase the hard drive and reinstall macOS Monterey.

I have already done just the reinstall of macOS Monterey using recovery. That didn't help the Time Machine problem.

I do have a SuperDuper! backup of the Macintosh HD hard drive.

My question is: can I use Migration Assistant to recover my applications, user account, etc, from the SuperDuper! backup if I do an erase and reinstall of the OS?

And if so, what are the steps? I understand that Apple silicon computers now use a "shared drive" scheme instead of the "Target Disk" scheme used on Intel chip machines.

Thanks in advance for your advice and recommendations.
