Loosing Ext Drive Icon Indicate Serious Trouble?

Hi Gang

I have an older G5 single 1.8 (it's immaculate). There's no known issues.

I have several External Drives.

I use Super Duper Super Duper 2.1.4 (v82) to back everything up. I have noticed occasionally that after a successful back-up, I loose the destination Drive Icon, and it reverts back to a default Drive Icon.

The Icon I use is an Apple Icon that I placed there. That's the Icon that vanished. I know how to get it back. But I was just wondering if there may be an underlying reason why it disappears?

Thanx
Mike

It's because it's a file on the drive like any other. v2.5 preserves it when you use Smart Update.

Thanx Dave

And thank you for being so quick with your replies

So then there's no need to worry about unsuccessful or corrupt back-up?
(everything went smoothly)

Hey Dan

Does the newer version of Super have pretty much the same layout? Or are we looking at another learning curve?

Do you have the link to buy it?

Will I get discount since I have the older version?

It's Dave, actually. And it's a free update: just download from the web site.
