Lost e-mail folders - retrievable?
I back up faithfully to SD from my iMac (lLeopard OS).
Somehow, I've lost several folders form my "mail" inbox - I've tried Time Machine but can't locate them. I'm afraid I did a SD backup BEFORE I discovered that missing folders. (they were there up to about the first week of August - now they're gone & I've done probably 2 backups). I think since a SD backup backs up over previous backups, that means that they will no longer be on a previous (lets says August 7th or so backup?) right? They've been written over.... Hoping I'm wrong about this? If I'm not (wishful) how can I retrieve info from a previous backup (several weeks ago) and restore it??? thx tuni |
