cant launch iphoto, photoshop after cloning
After successfully cloning my 150gig HD to an external drive & starting from the latter, I can't launch iphoto or photoshop or adobe illustrator anymore. Any idea? This is a backup of primordial importance before a partitioning of the original internal drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Is the external drive named the same as the internal, criminor?
If so, what error are you getting when you try to launch? Any errors in Console?

Console says both apps crashed Of note, the users library was apparently NOT copied (but the main library well) thanks for the lightning response! |

Something weird has happened here: I've never seen a case where files that were supposed to be copied weren't.
Could you send your SuperDuper!.log -- which you'll find off your Home folder in Library/Logs -- to support? I'll take a look and reply via email, and you can post a summary here when we figure out what's up.

Small mistake on my part, the library was there but I Was working on a french version of OSX (bibliothèque). The main problem remains (iphoto & photoshop not starting up from the clone. OK, Christian. I've asked for further information on that email thread, so let's keep going...
