Striped RAID
Hello.
I think there is a new Nehalem Mac Pro in my future, and I'm contemplating some different HD configurations. If I get the Apple Mac Pro RAID card, and stripe 2 500GB HDs, can I set SuperDuper! to make a daily copy of that to a single 1TB HD (actually 2 1TB HDs, one internal and one external)? And then if either or both of the 500GB HDs fail, copy the 1TB HD back after I replaced the failed drive(s)? I'd like to get the speed boost of a striped RAID, but am also wary of the increased risk of failure. I'd probably use my fourth HD bay for a 1.5 or 2TB Time Machine drive, but I'm just wondering if SuperDuper! is compatible with RAID arrays. Thanks, Kyle |

Yes, you should be able to do that.
