Failed to erase

Hi,

I'm trying to backup my Mac OS onto another internal Drive and ran into a problem. At step 1. Prepare to Copy Files, it failed at the second stage "Failed to erase MACDEV"

Here's the log file output:

| 04:25:18 PM | Info | ......COMMAND => Verifying that permissions are enabled for Mackintosh
| 04:25:18 PM | Info | Permissions on '/' are enabled.
| 04:25:18 PM | Info | ...ACTION: Erasing MACDEV
| 04:25:18 PM | Info | ......COMMAND => Preserving MACDEV UUID
| 04:25:18 PM | Error | 2008-07-14 16:25:18.298 SDDiskTool[341:10b] _CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. Error: 35

I've followed the instruction by first Formatting the drive with "Mac OX Extended (Journaled) and then proceeded to Erase Free Space.

Is there a way to resolve this error?

Thanks.

Have you properly partitioned the drive using the "GUID" partition scheme?
