Restore and exclude?
I have 2 backups, one is a full (Backup - All Files) and the other is User Files only.
The full backup is 2 months old. The user files backup is only 3 days old. I will restore from the full backup but exclude my home folder. I will then restore from user files my home folder only. I'm assuming to restore from the User Files backup I want to choose Backup - User Files -> Copy Newer? Since I excluded my home folder in the first restore that this will copy everything from my home folder? |

Yes, that's what I'd do... I wish you had a full backup that was more recent!

FYI,it turned out good. I keep a detailed log (in my little notebook) of all apps I install. Was only missing 3 after the restore but my data and preferences in my home folder were more recent. I'm off to make a full backup now.

Great.
And to onlookers: please, always make full backups. They're much easier to recover from. Disk space is inexpensive. Don't cheap out!
