installing .pkg doesn’t overwrite old version?
I have a script which updates SuperDuper, which involves downloading the .tar.gz and then unpacking it before installing the .pkg which is done like this
Code:
sudo /usr/sbin/installer -verbose -pkg 'SuperDuper!.pkg' -dumplog -target / -lang en Instead, the new version gets installed to Code:
/tmp/superduper_install/ I realize I’m doing it “unusually", but am I doing it “wrong"? |

Yes. You should just let it do it itself... why would you do it this way?
