Too long preparing drive
I have a 200GB USB drive that I want to backup to a similar external drive.
But SD has taken almost an hour "preparing" the drive to be copied. I use SD for 3 other pairs of drives, but this is the first time I've used it on this drive. I had backed it up previously with a different program. The drive can be read and written to, no problem. Any ideas as to why this could take so long...if it isn't hung up. Thanks nonsequito Mac OS X 10.4.0, MacPro. |

Sounds like it's not responding right; I'd stop it, power everything, including all peripherals, off. Then, start up again and give it another shot.

Thanks. I closed the system, restarted, and it worked fine. Who knows?
