Sleep option
After backing up, I choose to sleep my Mac. This occurs at 2am, and I have found that the Mac sometimes sleeps and sometimes does not after backing up with SD. Any way to make this happen more consistently?

Well, we ask it to sleep (which you can see in the blog), but we can't "force it", as such...
