Booting question.
Now, I'm not sure if this question is appropriate here, but I'll give it a shot.
So, I'm your quintessential Mac user who clicks the Smart Update button every day and leaves to go about my business. Now, whenever I want to show one of my Mac-using friends a game or a song or a "Super-Cool iLife Photo Album Reflective of my Digital Lifestyle" (just kidding), I take along my external hard drive and boot into Tiger because, frankly, it's kinda cool, and I don't have to move files to a friend's hard drive. Now, this always works, because my friends and family have Macbooks of all types. However, could I boot my Macbook image on a Core Solo Mac Mini? I'm pretty sure there'd be driver problems and compatibility issues, what with all the different hardware, but I'm not sure. It probably depends on how the inner workings of Mac OS work. I realize this is a bit of a silly question, but hey! I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. It's at least slightly SD-related. Thanks everyone! |

Yes, as long as that Mac was out before the OS version you're running, and it's got the same processor (Intel vs PPC), it should work.
