odd issue re permissions (not specifically SD related)

I was doing a "get info" on a folder and saw little "no access" signs on the LEFT side of the users/groups part of the window (next to the . I've never seen this... As far as I can tell, there is no negative impact. I can see everything and have access to everything I should, it seems. No matter what file/folder/volume I do the "get info" on, I get the same results....the little red circle with the minus sign on all of the users/groups listed! I've repaired permissions to no avail.

Running a 2.66GHz MacPro with OS 10.6.2.

Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

I'm guessing it's an icon cache issue, actually - that would normally have some standard icons of people and groups.

Interesting...thank you. How does one reset an icon cache? I know how to reset favicon caches in Safari, but not system icon caches.

There's likely an option in Cocktail or Onyx to do it... perhaps clear all system and user caches.
