SuperDuper safe with eSATA external RAID1 drive?

SuperDuper safe with eSATA external RAID1 drive?

Just wondering if using SuperDuper in "Copy All Files/Smart Backup" mode was safe with an eSATA connection to an external CalDigit or does it make any difference? I can choose between eSATA and FW800.
