Saving backups? Necessary for scheduled backps?
Is there a need to save backups? I don't see anything in the manual about saving backups, why one would want to, or benefits of doing so.
Perhaps scheduled backups need to be saved? I have noticed that my scheduled backups are failing and thought this might have to do with not saving them, even though I am not prompted to do so.
I am doing alternating clones of my main drive - a daily and a weekly, for insurance in case I back up problems. Set up: "Main Drive" cloned daily to partition named "Main Drive A" on external FireWire drive; "Main Drive" cloned weekly to partition named "Main Drive B" on same external drive. Both are Smart Updates.
Originally I just set up the daily clone, ran it, then scheduled it. Then set up the weekly clone, ran that and then scheduled. Should I be saving them, and then scheduling (and saving again)? Clones run fine when done manually.
Also, I have noticed that after failed backups I have to Force Quit Super Super.
