Converting from Carbon Copy Cloner to SuperDuper!
I've been using Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC) for quite a while with great success. But now with Tiger coming tomorrow and the fact that the current version of CCC isn't compatible I've been looking at SuperDuper!
Here's my question: I have a current bootable clone made with CCC. After I install Tiger and want to make a backup I plan on using SD. Now, can I make a smart backup (incremental) to this clone or do I need to erase the drive and start fresh with SD? Thanks! |

You should be able to Smart Update right on top of the CCC clone, no problem at all. We might copy slightly more, depending on how thoroughly CCC copied metadata and dates, but otherwise it'll work fine.

Excellent! SuperDuper is shaping up to be my next backup utility especially with the positive reviews on MacInTouch.com and MacCentral.com.
Thanks for the "Super" quick response! |

My copy script says SuperDuper! should ignore a folder, but it's copied. Why? | dnanian | Frequently Asked Questions | 0 | 12-24-2004 02:42 PM |
