Unhappy beach ball hell -- SD super slow!

Hi. I'm running snow leopard. I keep a regular TM backup (over wireless to another mac) but also maintain my SD mirror ~monthly.

After installing snow leopard I found SD taking 2-10 minutes before I could click anything in the gui. Once the gui is usable, clicking "Options..." and then the "OK" in options puts it right back into beach balling. for another couple of minutes.

I updated yesterday to the latest version.

Ideas?

Quit SD! and remove the "Saved Settings" folder in Library/Application Support/SuperDuper! - let's see if that speeds things up.

Note that the areas you're talking about are when we're going to refresh our list of attached volumes. It's possible that some device/drive/share attached to your mac is responding very slowly...

Looks like I have a very old NFS mount in my /Volumes directory. Its been there for ages, but was apparently never a problem before snow leopard.
Now I have to find a good way to remove it...

Thanks for the help!

I removed the NFS mount using disk utility, and rmdir'ed the mount point from /Volumes. Now it all works great.
