Permissions changes?

I set up a couple of accounts on my Mac running 10.4.7, one for myself as admin, and one for the family.

Theoretically the Admin account can change permissions etc, and the Family account has no admin privileges. Also, the Admin account requires a log-in and password, whereas the Family account needs none, just boots up.

However I started running SD on the Family account as I was not always logged in at the scheduled time=no backup. But I now see that I can change permissions in my Family account and can click and un-click the lock on my Admin user account.

Since I had to enter an admin password to run SD, does that mean that once SD runs the Family account has admin privileges, and that users on the account can do whatever they want?
