is this where I would point the new OS?

I've highlighted my iBook backup. Is this where I would point the new OS, to what I have highlighted? As I mentioned in my post, does it matter how the backup (partitioned) disk is formatted. I was told it needed to be formatted as GUID for the new Intel Mac. And, I want to continue using SD with my MBP. Anything special I need to do or just continue using as before? Thanks Chuck
