Types of backup

Hello,

I run an Intel based imac with 500 Gb harddrive on Tiger. The HD is getting full soon.

As of now I am backing up everything to a Drobo using Smart update. I understand that Smart update will remove files from the destination files if they are removed from the source file.

What I want to do is:

1. I wan to delete files from my internal HD to clear up space
2. I do not want to loose any files on my Drobo, so I assume Smart update is not an option anymore

What is the best way forward for me.

Thanks

Sigi
