System and Home on different partitions can I make a bootable backup?

I recently re-installed Snow Leopard and set up my MacBook to have a system partition, and a data partition. I'm wondering what would be the best way to make a bootable backup of my system partition including my data so I don't have to re-partition my backup drive again.
