Apple Menu Trouble

I have happily used SuperDuper for quite a spell and have had no glitches with it. I operate a MDD G4 Dual 1.25 desktop, a 12" PowerBook (1.33 GHz) G4 and a 15" PowerBook (1.25 GHz) all running OS 10.4.10.

I use SuperDuper to clone the desktop to both laptops without problems.

I replaced the hard drive in the 15" PowerBook yesterday and attempted to clone the 12" PowerBook to the new drive in the 15" PowerBook.

Everything went well except items under the blue apple, (About this Mac, System Preferences, etc.) would not work. It appeared that the aliases were mis-directed. Mac Help under the help menu would not work either. I repaired permissions and restarted to no avail.

I then cloned the 15" laptop from the desktop computer and everything worked perfectly as usual.

Does anyone have any ideas what might have gone wrong?

TIA

G
