Copying newer files across volumes.

I have succesfully copied all files from one volume to another using copy newer files. But when I try to copy a Apple Backup file using SuperDuper from one volume to another it starts, but gives an incorrect reading of the file size to be copied and gives me no real feedback on whether Super Duper is performing this task? The file Im trying to copy is around 12GB.
