Mac won't shut down after back up....

Hello,

I am running a smart update back up to a FW Western Digital drive.

I have the latest Super Duper version 80. In scheduling, even though I tell super duper to shut computer down upon succesful backup, it will not do it!!

I run a scheduled back up every Mon - Friday at 11:30 pm. It backs up great, as I check the log for any problems, yet no matter what it won't shut the computer down as i tell it to.

I am trying to figure out if i have any settings on my Mac that super duper can't get around, but to no avail.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Joe

Are you sure that the scheduled copy is set to shut down, as opposed to setting it in the main window? They're not the same: once schedule a copy is entirely independent of the main window...

OK, I get that but where do I tell it.....

Hi,

thanks for your reply, it is greatly appreciated. It is as you say in the main window that i tell SD to shut down the computer.

I go to my scheduled backup, go to edit it, and where do i tell it to shut down my computer upon succesful completion?

I still feel stupid......

By the way, I absolutely LOVE Super Duper. My old back up routine left me scratching my head and praying real hard......

Just delete your existing schedule, set things up right in the main window and re-create the schedule...

Glad you like SD, Joe!
