Notification in SD
Has anyone created an AppleScript or shell script that will (reliably) notify a user via email that a scheduled backup has completed successfully? Even something close to these specs would be appreciated as I would use it as a starting point rather than building from scratch.
I have been using the Growl support in SD but it is unreliable which makes it pretty useless. It has sometimes failed to notify me at all and, much worse, it has reported success when in fact SD in fact has failed! (Dave is aware of the problem, but is unable to give an ETA for a fix). So, if anyone else has solved the notification issue, I would love to hear about it. Thanks, Martin |
