Very Basic stuff
I work on my laptop on just the files coming from the SD clone from my main machine. I use the startup disk from the laptop. Back working on my (unchanged) main machine I want to use SD to first smart update the main machine with just the new and changed files from the changed clone.
Since I only changed very few (user)files I chose Backup-User Files. Stupid, I see the logic now, my system files on my main machine were gone after this! So I went straight on and put back the missing files using Smart Update. Just checking now(I was a little in shock): is my sytem now as good as it was before? Once a technician from Apple told me never make a clone from a running machine. |
