Cannot boot from restored image
I have in the past created a disk image backup onto my networked drive as a disk image (using Backup - all files). My laptop hard drive has now crashed, and I need to restore. It seems I have successfully used Disk Utility to restore all, as I can start in Target mode and see everything from my other Mac.
However, I cannot boot from the restored drive! It just keeps trying to boot then restarting before I can get to any screen, then restarting over and over again. I have tried installing Leopard first, but to restore I must erase disk. Cannot reinstall Leopard after, as it says it must erase the disk to do so. Macbook 2.0GHz, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB HD SuperDuper v 2.5 (v84) backed onto a Synology NAS drive (207). Please I am in dire need to get this up and running again! |
