Can an Intel backup boot a PowerPC
I have a bootable backup made for an Intel MacBook Pro (on a Firewire drive). The MBP need to be returned to Apple for a repair (not HD related). I have an old iBook Power PC Mac. Can I use the MBP backup to boot the iBook, do work, save files, then restore the MBP on its return form Apple?
There's something in the back of my mind saying this can't be done... Or is it you can't boot an Intel from a PowerPC drive? Thanks! |

You can't boot Intel from a Power PC install (and vice versa), David.
