Can't boot from clone via Startup Disk control panel, but can from "option key"
Hello,
This may be similar to some previous posts. I have a brand new Intel 17" iMac 10.4.8. Partitioned a 160 Gb LaCie into 8 volumes. Made several clones via SuperDuper (latest demo version) via Firewire. Trying to boot from the LaCie by setting StartupDisk via System Preferences. No matter what partition I select, it boots from the first clone I created on that drive. On the other hand, if I start up and use the option key, I can select the proper clone and boot from it. This is more of a puzzle than a problem, but I wonder if others have seen it. Don't know if it's a OS bug, a partitioning issue or a SuperDuper problem. Any thoughts? Thanks |
